Dates: Mon–Sat, Dec 15-20, 2025
Day Session (in person): 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (HST)
Location (in person): Training yard & classroom (day shift)
Completion: Sat, December 20, 2025
Schedule includes in person hands on training and classroom sessions. Class hours are 8am - 3pm day in person sessions. Class is complete when written and hands on exams are complete. Estimate 40 hours 1 week.

This is a certification training classes for all experience levels. Please call for details. Our program provides practical hands-on training for preparation for certification.
Common questions:
Do I need a CDL or Drivers license to operate cranes? No
Do I need a CDL license to operate boom trucks? Yes, Recommended. Boom truck crane operators have commercial drivers license since most of their work involve driving equipment to an from lift sites. Many of Hawaii companies have boom trucks.
Can females operate cranes? Yes
Can I advance into larger cranes if starting with just the boom truck level? Yes. You may wish to start your career off with smaller cranes then advance to larger capacity types. Opportunities for boom truck crane are much larger at the moment. There are more boom trucks than large cranes in Hawaii.
Can I get a job on the shipping dock cranes? Those portal cranes are different from mobile cranes which do not require certification at the moment.
Is there job placement? No, but most of our students get referrals to work.

Training covers all mobile telescopic cranes with classroom and hands on training. Lattice crane operator certification training available upon request at an additional $fee

National Crane Operator Certification (NCCCO) - a 3rd Party Accredited Testing Company​

Written Examination - taken online and registered with NCCCO

Practical Examination - scheduled on Saturday December 20th 2025 (or a day earlier)
Coordination of exams will be assisted by the training coordinator.

Types of Cranes that we Provide Training
NOTE: This class does not have hands on lattice crane training. These are mobile cranes. Tower crane training is not available in Hawaii at this time. Lattice boom crane operator certification available but not open to beginners.
